Bowlers, batsmen, fielders and even umpires were fighting together to the critical situations created by the one and only most loving sport of cricket.
Last 25 or 30 balls of the match were the evidence of an emphatic lust overwhelmed all over the world of cricket. Though the favoritism behavior was not much surprising for the fans but this time, the game was made to entertain the whole audience and the live crowd present in the Hyderabad Stadium.
Batting first after winning the toss, left Mumbai Indians in a desperate circle of that dare decision because it was only the 11th decision of batting first out of 60 decisions by any team in IPL season 2017. Was it a brave move or a foolish one? The 239 balls proved it was a wrong move while the one last ball proved the earlier 239 balls wrong. Unbelievable ya! After giving target of 130 runs in the final of Indian Premier League to the team that has the most experienced winnings minds, MI was not in a view of winning race. Don’t forget, MI was announced favorites.
First innings was named for the bowlers of RPS despite lone standing 47 runs made by K Pandya.
MI lost regular wickets in a quick fashion, they lost 7 wickets for just 79 runs with 5 overs to spare. Then the resistance came through the bat of Krunal Pandya and he kept scoring from one end till the end of last ball of the first innings. He stretched Mumabi innings to the total of 129 runs to give bowlers a little hard workout to do with the hope of IPL trends 2017. We have witnessed 5 low score defended games this edition therefore Mumbai bowlers could make it 6th as Pandya made a hope by his pressure innings.
Entire first innings stayed in favor of Rising Pune Supergiant they were not only most favorite during the break but also remained end favorite in the first 12 overs of the 2nd innings. RPS made 70 runs for the lose of one wicket in 12 overs. RPS lost Rehane after making a good partnership with Captain Smith then came Dhoni and made another good partnership with Smith to secure the most favorite position again. RPS required 33 runs from 24 balls with 8 wickets in hand while having Dhoni and Smith, the set batsmen on the crease, it was not easy to go with the Mumabi Indians victory.
Bumrah one of the finest depth bowlers got Dhoni out in 17th over then Pune needed 30 runs off 18 balls. Smith was till there with the half century while Manoj Tiwary was ready to face the first ball of the last over delivered by Johnson who was ready to save the 11 runs. At that moment, MI was came favorite. Tiwary slammed four over square leg on the first ball and secured the most favorite point again for RPS. Then came a beauty from the arm of Johnson and Tiwary lost his wicket then on the next ball, Smith out caught on long on. MI hold the most favorite position as per given final assessment of IPL 2017 winner information. Bravo!
Equation was, RPS wanted 7 runs from 3 balls, one double and single taken in 2 balls thanks to H Pandya the brother of K Pandya who stopped Johnson to make it three wickets by dropping Christian at mid-wicket on 5th ball of the over, wow! Johnson needed to save 4 runs on the last ball and Christian was ready to face the last ball but he managed only a double. MI became the IPL10 winner.
Cheers all around, tears all around, after too many misfiled, drop catches and miss-hits, Mumbai Indans name was written as a winner of IPL 2017 in the book of cricket history.
It was bowling show in 2nd innings displayed by Bumrah, Malinga and Johnson despite Rehane and Smith good batting performance. The innings of K Pandya came to the light soon after the favorable result. He was awarded man of the final match trophy while Mitchell Johnson received only Hi-fives on saving 11 runs in last over against set batsmen Smith and Tiwary. He took 3 wickets for 27 runs in four overs.
Well, this is how it ends, the IPL 2017 entertainment finished on high notes with joyful Mumbai Indians unit. Last ball Rising Pune Supergiant defeat was not easily accepted by their fans. Yea, but it was a great effort by Champions MI for making it happened.
