Winner of WT20 2014 Sri Lanka new WT20 Champions gave ideal farewell to their cricket legends

SL WT20 2014 Winner

Sri Lanka became the winner of WT20 2014 by beating India in the final, and made a perfect farewell for Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene by obtaining WT20 Champions title.

Having reserved next day, India v Sri Lanka WT20 2014 final match was organized at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka on 6th of April. The start of grand final was delayed for nearly 40 minutes because of rain’s play.

Malinga put Dhoni to bat first after winning the toss, which proved to be a perfect decision because India scored their world cup’s lowest 31 runs in power-play. Both teams held mostly at equally favorite position till the 17th over of the first innings, while India was announced as a favorite. Last spell of Malinga restricted India to 130 runs, and Sri Lanka held at most favorite position before the start of second innings.
